The purpose of the Winter Youth Leadership Retreat is to create a community of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and Two-Spirit (LGBTQ2+) youth and their allies statewide.
The Retreat includes workshops and trainings to educate youth on healthy life skills and relationships, develop leadership skills, and empower youth to be change agents in their communities.
The Youth Leadership Retreat is a one day event and FREE for high school students, or those enrolled in an educational program, ages 13-18.
The Retreat takes place all day and into the evening.
This event is chaperoned by qualified volunteers with background checks. Students will not be left unattended for any reason. Students will be required to complete a short pre- and post-summit survey regarding their experience so that Identity can track student growth and log statistical information.
Our next Winter Youth Leadership Retreat will be held in February of 2020.
