The Gender Expansive Community of Anchorage (GECA) is a social/community support group for gender-expansive adults ages 18+. This group provides an opportunity to adults and their family and friends to network and connect with other community members and allies.
A monthly discussion space for Parents, Families, and Caring Adults of LGBTQ+ youth. All ages are welcome in this multi-generational space that occurs on the last Wednesday of each month. We welcome and HIGHLY encourage caring adults to join this space as co-facilitators. This idea grew from what was formerly known as Transparent, so that the discussion could be more expansive and more inclusive.
If you have experienced discrimination, or trauma, because of your gender identity, then you’re invited to join the Gender Trauma Group at Identity Health Clinic. Talk with your peers and with licensed providers about how gender-based trauma has affected your life. Find support and healing in your community and get your answers about gender from specialized clinicians in a safe space.
SAGE provides opportunities for older LGBT adults to form and strengthen meaningful relationships, identify and utilize trusted vendors and service providers, find support and encouragement when needed, and learn about available resources.
Q-Club is a social/educational group open to all LGBTQ teens and allies ages 13-18 in Anchorage. Most meetings provide education around a subject relevant to the lives of LGBTQ youth with topics from applying for college or jobs, to LGBTQ specific sexual health education. Q-Club is also a comfortable space for LGBTQ youth to play games and hangout. This group is facilitated by Identity, Inc. who works to ensure LGBTQ teens have the opportunity to access necessary resources to live happier and more productive lives. Need some queer and queer adjacent community in your week? A multigenerational space led by COR staff, held monthly on Friday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 pm via Zoom.
Find and give support, have fun, connect around shared interests and get good information. Chat with like-minded peers in live chats designed for you & by you, facilitated by folks who care. Designed for LGBTQ+ teens, 13-19 years old.
TRUTH is a youth-led program for trans and gender nonconforming young people to build public understanding, empathy, and a movement for liberation through storytelling and media organizing.
