Youth Leadership Retreat
The purpose of the 2018 Alaska Youth Leadership Retreat is to create a community of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) youth and their allies. The Retreat includes workshops and trainings to educate youth on healthy life skills and relationships, develop leadership skills, and empower youth to be change agents in their communities.
The Youth Leadership Retreat is a one day event and will be held at YWCA (324 E 5TH Ave.) in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday, February 10th. The Retreat is a free event for high school students or those enrolled in an educational program, ages 13-18. The retreat will take place all day, into the evening.
The Retreat will be chaperoned by qualified volunteers with background checks. Students will not be left unattended for any reason. Students will be required to complete a short pre- and post-summit survey regarding their experience so that Identity can track student growth and log statistical information.
